Moving Onward in May
Hello guys! The apprenticeship is coming to an end and therefore this is my last blog. Thank you so much for making the past 10 months such an amazing experience! It was the last month of the school year, which meant a month full of other “last”s as the year drew to a close. For our last Mi Gente event of the school year, we hosted a taco night. Beans, rice, chicken, and steak fajita with salsa and guac. We also watched Shrek in Spanish (the only right way to watch Shrek; you should try it!) and played a couple of video games. I have loved getting to lead and participate in Mi Gente this past school year. Next year, I want to continue helping out however I can, in addition to (hopefully and prayerfully) starting up Mi Gente at Richland (Dallas) College, one of the FOCUS community colleges. I hope to be able to use my income as a way to bless the students at Richland and UTD. We also had our last FNF. For years, the last FNF at UTD has been a time for studen...
